Our group, Constructing Kevin, aims to entertain and educate students on the story, Kevin by Dr. Catherine Lim. We also plan to come up with a website with our script, key concepts, analysis, and of course, our video.
This is our Project's Day Blog, where all our reflections will be posted. We will update the blog whenever we have a major event or a meeting, for example, rounds in Projects Day.
-----KEVIN IN A NUTSHELL-----
—Kevin is a primary school student in Singapore. Like any other child, Kevin wants to spend his time playing. However, his mother demands that he scores at least 95% or more for every one of his assessments. —When Kevin does not perform well in his Science test, he becomes very fearful that his mother will cane him and considers various options such as changing the score on his test paper. —When he gets home, he realises that his mother has been hospitalised for an illness. —Instead of displaying any worry or grief, Kevin rejoices over the fact he now has one week before he receives any punishment, and one full week of fun and play.
